The first competition of the year, the Mixed Drawn Trips, took place over the past weekend.

5 teams were entered and the format was a
Round Robin. Three rounds were scheduled for Saturday and two on Sunday, fifteen ends per game.

The weather did not play kindly and we had just just managed to complete the Second Round when the heavens opened, I mean it poured buckets!

The Competition Secretary and Club Captain made the decision calling for an early Sunday morning, with three rounds to play. Players retired to the watering hole and the braai got going.

Games were reduced to 12 ends for the remaining three rounds on Sunday.

Heading into the last round Charlotte Morland's team (Louis Carstens as Second and Mo Sadler as Lead) were unbeaten.
Johan Jacobs' team (Sheena du Toit as Second and Sandra Snyman as Lead) were lying second, but needed to win their final game against Sandy Joubert to secure the runners-up spot.
Things did not quite pan out for Jacobs as they went down by a single shot, moving Sandy Joubert (with Des vd Smit as Second and Hein Cloete as Lead) into Second Place.

Moland, Carstens and Sadler went undefeated to win the competition.
