All of the games on the 12 & 13 March were unfortunately called off or cancelled due to severe thunderstorms and soaked greens. The games against Rossmund and Namib Park will be rescheduled for later in the season.

Our Men's team couldn't find their footing and were trampled in the first set. They did make a comeback and took the second set, but lost out in the tie-break.

The Ladies team had a convincing win against the much favoured Eros ladies, taking both sets and maximum points.

The 1st Team had a whopper of a game, with each of the player's attempts dove-tailing perfectly. They took the first set 15-0 and the second 14-4. Well done guys!

The 2nd Team had a tougher game. After taking the first set they very nearly found themselves forced into a tie-break, but managed to cut the opponents down to one shot in the final end, saving the set and snatching victory.

Our 3rd Team had a great afternoon against Transnamib and took the game in straight sets.

The Men's team again couldn't find their form and went down in straight sets.

The Ladies team continued their good run from the previous day, narrowly losing the first set 11-10 and easily taking the second set. The opposing Skip feel ill during the game and went off the green after the fourth end in the first set. With no substitute available Law 46.2.2.2* came into effect. After the recalculation of the shots our ladies were deemed as having won both sets and the game. (*Law 51.6 actually dictates that Transnamib should have forfeited the game.)

The 1st Team also had another good day on the green, taking both sets and maximum points.

The 2nd Team also won their game in straight sets.

Eros Bowling Club

Our 3rd Team's opponents, Eros, failed to field a team and thus forfeited the game. We pick up maximum points.

Summary

The Men's league is wide open and although we have slipped from top spot, we are definitely still in the hunt for the title.
The Ladies team are in with a chance. Should they continue the way they did this weekend we could have hopes of winning the Ladies title for the first time in a number of years.
The 1st Team have stretched their lead in the Mixed I division by some margin.
Our 3rd Team is top of the Mixed II division, while the 2nd Team occupies the number two spot. We are hoping for a one-two in this division. Keep it up!
