An impressive brigade of 21 members headed to the coast for the Club Challenge against Rossmund.

Unfortunately things did not go all our way, with both our Men's team suffering defeat in straight sets and the 1st Team their first loss of the season.

Our Ladies Team found themselves against the ropes, but managed to turn the game around and win their encounter in the tie-break.

Although the Mixed 2 were up against some very experienced players they put in a solid performance and won their game. This win guarantees our team of a podium finish.

The 3rd Team took on the Rossmund Reserves and we won the game in the tie-break.

The Men's Team stamped their authority early in the game and won convincingly.

The Ladies took the first set, but failed to adjust as the green was speeding up. They lost the second set and the tie-break.

Our 1st Team easily won the first set and just missed peeling the second set. The game was forced into tie-break which we won in nail biting fashion when skip Johan Jacobs drew the second shot to prevent the game going into sudden-death.

The 3rd Team played Rossmund's Mixed 2 team and went down in straight sets.

Summary

Heading into the last weekend of the National League only our 2nd Team can be sure of a medal for their season's efforts. A victory over Rossmund on Saturday morning will see them winning the Mixed 2 Division.
The 3rd Team still stands an outside chance of finishing second in the Mixed 2 Division, but will need to win their final game on Saturday afternoon and hope that the outcome of the games on Sunday are in our favour.
The 1st Team saw their unbeaten run come screeching to a halt when Rossmund beat them comprehensively. Victories in both games on Saturday will see them take the title.
Although the Ladies currently top their division the race for the title has become a tight affair. A straight set win over Namib Park on Sunday should see them finish in the top two.
It's down to the wire in the Men's League and only three victories from the final three games will give us a chance at retaining the title.

In all aspects the final weekend of the league is going to be a very exciting one.
