The Final round of the Windhoek League took place at the Transnamib Bowling greens over the past weekend.

A lacklustre performance in the previous round on home turf, had the other Clubs hot on our heels as each of the four clubs sought a podium finish in the three divisions as well as the overall Windhoek League title.

In the Premier Division skip Graham Snyman and his team (Sandy Joubert, Babs vd Merwe, Renette De Kock) picked up the most points in their division for the weekend, but were unable to overtake the Transnamib team, finishing runners-up, four points off the lead.

Charlotte Morland's 1st Division team (Johan Jacobs, Wouter du Plooy, Des vd Smit) went into the final round with a two point lead, but had to pull out all the stops as both Eros Bowlng Club and Transnamib we eyeing top spot. Windhoek Country Club won the 1st Division with a 8 point lead over runners-up Eros.

The 2nd division team, skipped by Jean Joubert (Marie vd Merwe, Ken Morland, Hein Cloete) maintained their top position from the beginning of the League and finished winners by a handsome 30 point margin. Runners-up in the 2nd Division was Windhoek Bowling Club.

In the Overall Standings for the title of Windhoek Champions the club boasted a runaway victory with a 42 point lead over runners-up Transnamib Bowling Club.

*The following players also played for WCC Bowls in the Windhoek League during the season; Allan Walden, Sheena du Toit, Henriette Partrdige, Rose Walden, Garry du Toit, Moolman van Zyl, Hennie Mare & Schalk Hanekom. The club acknowledges their valuable contribution to our success in this league.
